Ingredients
  • 1.2 kilograms of heel Scoter cut into pieces,
  • 1 onion, chopped,
  • 2 sprigs of thyme leaves,
  • 1 / 2 bunch of chopped parsley,
  • 6 thin slices of bacon,
  • 1 bottle of 75 cl of red wine ,
  • 25 cl veal stock,
  • 150 g dried porcini mushrooms,
  • Salt, pepper.
To link:
  • 40 g flour,
  • 20 cl tomato juice. (I just returned from cooking juices)
Place beef and chest smoke in the crock pot, season with salt and pepper and moisten with red wine. Marinate at least 4 hours so the meat really absorbs the wine, then add the onion, thyme, parsley, veal and mushrooms.
Simmer 6 hours in high mode.
Before serving, stir the flour into a bowl with the tomato juice. Pour mixture into slow cooker, stir and allow to thicken 5 minutes.

Provencal beef meat (beef chuck or twin) is one of my favorites but I rarely have time to do it often because I have not allowed enough time for cooking and meat hard.
There, after 4 hours of marinating in red wine and before going to bed, I started the timer. 6 hours later in HIGH mode, it is cooked and kept warm.
At sunrise, the kitchen smelled the stew. We could have the spread between 2 slices of buttered bread!
was nevertheless expected the dinner to warm up the stew, thicken the sauce and enjoy with pâtes.C was perfect: the meat was chewy, the sauce is well connected.

To conclude on the usefulness of such an object in his kitchen: The
PLUS: lost no time to watch a stew, you can do cook at night or during the day when you are at work, the pot goes directly to the table (be careful, it's hot) and it is quite elegant, the recipes are well explained
The LESS: the device is bulky (where the store in our small kitchen?) and quite expensive (around 150 €), the pan is very heavy (be careful not to break it in the wash even if it goes in the dishwasher), the water is more suited to families (4-6 people).
